Introduction

I thought I'd make a page dedicated to how I performed in the competitive scene of Mario Golf: World Tour for the first few months after its release. This is a game I played way too much, so I thought it made sense to give it its own page, similar to what I've made for F-ZERO X and GX.

I was active with competitive play from day 1 pretty much, so I got to see how the competitive scene of this game was like for the first few months. This is something that hasn't really been archived very well anywhere, so this page should give a pretty good idea about how the competition was like. Top 10 leaderboards for a majority of tournaments has also been included in the tournament section, which is something that cannot be found elsewhere on the Internet.

The first few months in particular were the best months this game had, because there were such great amount of activity for every tournament. The amount of people that entered worldwide tournaments ranged from 8000 - 28000, making the competition strong and exciting.

Tournament Rules

-You have the option to update your score as many times as you want until the tournament period is over. Almost every tournament lasts for exactly two weeks.

-The rank provided to tied scores is handled by placing the person who got the score first, highest.

-The following elements are prefixed in tournament play:
  Wind direction and intensity
  Rain occurrence
  Pin location

Although the weather conditions are set, it is not possible to make setups that will get Hole-In-Ones and similar every time. The reason for this is because there's a hidden RNG which determines the additional +/- % distance of a shot. Ball lie RNG is also something which has additional impact. Due to these mechanics, there are probably a few hundreds, if not thousands of slightly different outcomes a single shot can have.
